Biography
Laura Mackness is a fashion and accessories designer who currently lives and works in London. She recently graduated from the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins with a distinction. Mackness' MA collection was selected for inclusion in the prestigious Central Saint Martins catwalk show, part of the official London Fashion Week schedule in February 2009. The collection attracted attention from numerous high-profile publications including Style.com, Vogue.com, The Daily Telegraph, SHOWstudio and Dazed Digital.

She previously studied on the university's BA Fashion course and graduated in 2007 and has undertaken work experience with designers including Peter Jensen. Mackness has won a number of awards including the Colin Barnes Illustration Award in 2005 and more recently, the 2009 Ducati/Puma award from which her motorcycle jacket design will go into production and be sold in high-end retail outlets. She was also the recipient of the Armani Bursary in 2007.
